I have a simple yet healthy way of preparing buttermilk. Here it goes..


Curd – 1 Cup (preferably Sour curd)

Milk-1/2 Cup

Chopped Coriander leaves 1/2 TableSpoon

Chopped chilli 1/2 (adjust as per your spiciness)

Thin Grated Ginger flakes 3 to 4

Salt-as per taste

Water- 2 Glasses


Boil milk and allow it to cool. Take a big bowl and place all the ingredients including milk, blend it using hand blender or mixi jar till bubbles/foam comes up. You can adjust the consistency of buttermilk by adjusting water. Keep it in fridge for 15 minutes or you can have it immediately. Enjoy healthy and tasty buttermilk.
